The Italian Club at NMHS mainly aims to promote the Italian culture in the school. Club members meet every two weeks, practice Italian during the meetings and work together in the activities that will be planned during the school year. The club plans fundraisers in order to fund a cultural trip at the end of the year. The club members learn and discuss about Italy's main holidays, and come up with ways to share the importance of these celebrations throughout the school. For example, they learn about Befana and sell candy grams to students, or learn about Women's Day and sell mimosa flowers to faculty and students. In passing out the information about these holidays, they contribute to grow the awareness about the Italian culture. And, they raise some funds to organize and enjoy a trip to one of the wonderful sites around Naples (visit the gallery "We, the Italian Club" for highlights from the Italian Club activities at NMHS).
